Special Occasion Singers

The Special Occasion Singers (SOS) are a small group of female singers from the Chorleywood Choral Society.
We sing for WEDDINGS, giving support to the hymn singing, and we can perform one or two pieces during the signing of the Register. This can enhance your very special service.
We can suggest a wide selection of hymns if you wish for some ideas, and aim to support the singing of guests who are not always familiar with many hymns.
We are usually asked to sing one or two solo pieces (in one, two or three parts) during the signing of the Register. We can supply a list of pieces which are acceptable to the church.
We always invite the wedding couple to come and listen to us at a rehearsal, on a Monday evening at the Free (Baptist) Church on Hillside Road, Chorleywood, WD3 5AP, at 7.20pm (19.20). The full Chorleywood Choral Society rehearses there from 8.00pm (20.00), so SOS has a limited time slot for visitors to come and listen.
SOS wear “concert black”: black tops and trousers or skirts, with colourful scarves. This is so that we do not stand out when the focus is on the bridal party.
We charge a flat rate fee, and would only ask that in the Order of Service there is a brief acknowledgement along the lines: “Music provided by the Special Occasion Singers from Chorleywood Choral Society” and also the name of the Organist.
SOS can be contacted via email: chorleywoodchoralsociety@gmail.com

SOS can also sing at other special occasions, joyful and sad ones, funerals and memorial services. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
