SUBSCRIPTION FEES 2017-18
- Full Annual fee (from October): £165
- Concessionary rates for full-time students under 25: £50
The full fee works out at only £2 per rehearsal hour, even less when Saturday workshops are added in.
Subscriptions cover all Monday night rehearsals, loan of music, Saturday workshops and concerts. The only extra costs involved are if you choose to buy your own music, attend any social/fundraising events, or decide to go on tour with the choir in the summer.
ATTENDANCE AT REHEARSALS
Please sign the Register each week, and enter any anticipated absence (holidays etc.) there. If you cannot attend for a prolonged period, please contact Lucy (email: email@example.com) or Rosie (see committee contact details above). Attendance at rehearsals is important to ensure that performances are successful, for obvious musical reasons.
It is important, and courteous to Graham, that we should be ready to sing at 8pm every Monday. Orange juice is on sale for your refreshment in rehearsal breaks.
CONCERT DAY RULES
Ladies’ dress code: long black dresses, or long black skirts or trousers, with black tops; three-quarter-length or long sleeves, no plunging necklines or flashy jewellery. Black shoes and tights or socks.
Men’s dress code: black DJs and bow ties, white shirts. For less formal occasions, black shirts. Black trousers, shoes and socks.
On stage: no water bottles (if you think you will need water, please ask permission of the Chair), no handbags.
Black folders are available from Jenny Kirby on payment of a returnable deposit of £10. When walking on and off stage, please hold your music in the hand that faces the audience.
No photographic, audio or video recording is permitted during performances without prior permission from the Committee.
If you know in advance that you won’t be able to sing in a concert, please inform the Secretary promptly. ALWAYS return your music when asked, or immediately if you find you cannot sing in a concert. The choir will incur a fine if music is returned to the hirer later, and we may reluctantly feel we have to pass it on to the offender.
ALWAYS treat your music with care!
